Guitar Love

Ah, the relationship between a man and his instrument.  I really don’t know how I’ve survived this long without a 5-string bass.  When I got my 5-string electric around Christmas, there was a splinter in the back of my mind that I knew I’d have to upgrade the acoustic, as well.  And this week, I did.  The Tacoma Thunderchief.  Sounds great, looks great.  I’m done.  All set.  No more basses for me.  Ever.  I ain’t like those 6-string players out there who go through instruments like underwear.  Uh-uh.  Not me.

Now for the fine print, the credits:  Lord, I spent Your money on Your instrument to be used for Your glory.  Thanks, Dad, for the opportunity, honor, and privilege of worship.  May it never be about me or my stuff, ‘cuz my flesh really, really wants to make it about that.  But, it’s Your stuff.  ‘Nuff said.

  1. I noticed it yesterday and I have to say sweet!

  2. Thanks LOLA (ha). I’m blessed, no doubt.

  3. Thunderchief…sounds like you could use it to fight crime AND drop funky base lines 🙂

  4. Uh, dude, I don’t drop funky BASE lines. Baseball players do that. 😛

    I drop funky BASS lines.
